I cannot compare performance from listings, and neither handheld has a price from a seller you can trust there: the Steam Deck OLED (4.5 stars on 297 ratings) is a reseller's $899.98 listing, and the Ally X is used-only. The ROG Ally X listing I found is used-only, lists 24GB of memory and a 7-inch 1080p 120Hz screen, and has 41 ratings. Amazon prices for handheld PCs are mostly third-party resellers, so they can sit well above the maker's own store price. Check the maker or retailer price before buying here.
